Note: Collaborative editing is Enterprise-only

Divide and conquer with collaborative editing inside any template or document editor. Need a hand from your colleague to get a quote out the door? No problem, you can now jump in alongside your teammates and edit your content without worrying about saving over each other's work.

Multi-user Editing

When multiple users enter the same editor, you'll see a little indicator in the top right to illustrate the users accessing the current template or document editor.

The editor functions a little differently when you're not alone, the main aspect being the way content blocks will become locked when another user is editing that block.

Once a user claims a block, any other user cannot access that block. Once the user exits the block, it will show the updated changes and the block will become unlocked and accessible to the other users.

Internal commenting

You can now add comments to specific parts of your document to make it clear to other users what changes/revisions need to be made. To do this, just highlight any text inside a content block, and when the editor toolbar appears, on the far right you'll see the little 'comment' icon - click it and a little window will pop up allowing you to add your comment.

Click the blue 'Comment' button once you've written your comment and it'll be saved.

You'll also see a yellow text highlight has appeared to show there's a linked comment.

You can tag any user by typing @ in the comment and it'll give you a dropdown list to choose from any of your users. Any tagged user will receive an email notification that will take them straight to the Template/Document that was commented on.

Mark a comment as Resolved

To resolve a comment and mark it as done, just hover over the highlighted text and click the 'Mark as Resolved' button. If there are further amendments to be made, you can go back to that comment and click 'Mark as Active' to reactivate the comment once again.

Using threads

Some comment situations might require some backward and forward so in this event, we have threads for this. To access the full thread, just hover over any highlighted comment, click the 'View thread' button, and a sidebar will appear on the right-hand side. This is more of an expanded view to see the whole context of the conversation, you can also add comments here and mark the comment as 'Resolved' in the top right.

Navigating through multiple comments

In the top right, you'll see a little comment counter and some directional arrows. This will allow you to quickly jump to each comment inside the editor so you don't have to go scrolling to find each one.
