The Advanced Salesforce integration is an Enterprise-only feature that allows deeper integration with Salesforce - including the ability to:

  • Sync your merge tags with your Salesforce Merge fields

  • Sync your Salesforce opportunity stages with the document milestones within Better Proposals so they progress automatically - as well as new events being added.

  • Use the Document Launcher to quickly create a document in Better Proposals from an Existing opportunity or account in Salesforce.

Step 1 - Getting Connected

Note: If you already have the basic Salesforce integration setup, you'll need to disconnect that first and then connect to the Advanced Salesforce integration.

Firstly, go to Settings > Integrations > CRM > Advanced Salesforce Integration

Connect your account by following the on-screen instructions and once successful, you should be presented with this screen:

At this point, you can now click 'Next' in the bottom right and progress to the next step.

Step 2 - Opportunity stages

Here you'll be able to sync your opportunity stages with the status of your documents. When each status is changed in Better Proposals, this will automatically update the corresponding opportunity stage in Salesforce. Just go ahead and link the appropriate Document status to the opportunity stage and click 'Match Selected'

Once you've matched your selections, click 'Next' and move on to Step 3.

Step 3 - Merge Fields

Note: If you haven't gone ahead and set up any custom merge tags yet, you can do so by following the instructions here

Similar to the opportunity stages, you simply need to match up your Custom merge tags inside Better Proposals with the merge fields inside Salesforce - once you've done that, you can move on to step 4.

Step - 4 Document Launcher in Salesforce

Click 'Connect now' and after a short while of loading, the page should refresh and you'll get the confirmation page to let you know this was successful:

Now the document launcher is enabled, you'll see the 'Create Document with Better Proposals' option when you click the down arrow in the top right of any Account or Opportunity.

Clicking this will fire up Better Proposals and pull in the required information automatically.

That's it! You can click 'Finish' and you're all good to go - if you spot anything that's not working as it should be, just drop us a live chat or email and we'll be more than happy to help.
