Seamlessly collect additional data from your clients
Besides creating them directly inside your Onboarding, forms can be accessed by going to Settings > Admin > Forms
All your forms from Onboarding will be listed here which allows you to preview, edit or delete them.
Note: Forms that are part of an Onboarding can't be deleted here
Creating your Forms
If you want to edit existing forms clicking the Edit button under the Actions section will do the trick.
However, if you are looking to build a completely new form you can do that by clicking the pink Create New Form button in the top right corner.
From there you can build forms from scratch or use our premade templates inside the Form library.
Building a completely new form
Selecting New form will open up a menu where you can add fields and give your form a name.
You will have access to 7 different types of fields, but you can add as many as you need.
Text - If you need to collect data such as name, surname, address, title, etc.
Email - Field for email address
Text area - Field for your client to leave a note
Number - Collect phone number, number of employees or anything number-related
Date - The client can specify a date (of birth, employment, etc.)
Checkbox - If you need confirmation that your client agrees with something (Newsletter, updates, GDPR)
Dropdown - If your client needs to select something specific from a dropdown menu (their role in the company, etc.)
Regardless of the selected type you will need to add a Label which is your field title, a Placeholder, and you can specify if that field is Required. Once you're happy with everything click the green save button in the top right corner.
If you want to scrap a field and start over, click the crossed circle on the far right to remove it or cancel any changes done to it.
Optimise your forms
To reorder the fields you can drag and drop them. So if you go to the one you want to move and click the icon that shows three horizontal lines, you can hold it to drag the field around.
In case you need to make some last-minute changes or you simply need to add more details to an existing field click the Pen icon.
To completely remove a field click the bin icon on the far right.
Note: You will still need to confirm the deletion, so in case you misclick and select the Delete icon you won't automatically lose your work.
Utilizing Form library
On the other hand, if you are looking to implement form in your Onboarding, but don't know where to start you can go with the Form library option. It gives you 4 options that can be used as they are or as a starting point since they are fully editable.
