A list of our in-built merge tags/merge fields

When using the proposal editor, there’s a keyboard shortcut to access these merge tags - simply type two “{{“ and the merge tags will appear for you to select the one you want to use.

These are the merge tags that you can use:

Client Details

  • {{company_name}} - this will be replaced with the client's company name that you entered when creating the proposal.

  • {{first_name}} - this will be replaced with the first name of the recipient you sent the proposal to.

  • {{surname}} - this will be replaced with the last name of the recipient you sent the proposal to.

  • {{email_address}} - this will be replaced with the email address of the recipient you sent the proposal to.

Your Details

  • {{brand_company_name}} - this will be replaced with the company name you set up in Settings > Setup > Branding > Name.

  • {{owner_first_name}} - this will be replaced with the first name of the user who the proposal is assigned to. By default this is the user who created the proposal and can be changed under Edit Setup for the proposal.

  • {{owner_surname}} - this will be replaced with the last name of the user who the proposal is assigned to. By default this is the user who created the proposal and can be changed under Edit Setup for the proposal.

  • {{owner_email_address}} - this will be replaced with the email address of the user who the proposal is assigned to. By default this is the user who created the proposal and can be changed under Edit Setup for the proposal.

  • {{sender_first_name}} - this will be replaced with the first name of the user who sent the proposal.

  • {{sender_surname}} - this will be replaced with the last name of the user who sent the proposal.

  • {{sender_email_address}} - this will be replaced with the email address of the user who sent the proposal.

Document information

  • {{created_date}} - this will be replaced with the date that the proposal was created. It will appear in this format: 1st January 2019.

  • {{expiry_date}} - this will be replaced with the expiry date of the document if there is one set. It will appear in this format 1st January 2019.

Note: The {{first_name}}, {{surname}} and {{email_address}} tags will only be populated on the live proposal once you have sent it as each recipient receives a unique link.
The {{sender_first_name}}, {{sender_surname}} and {{sender_email_address}} tags will only be populated once the proposal has been sent.
